A new rhythm begins at Salt & Smoke.

After the first live sessions with Matt Swallows and June On The Moon filled the room with music, conversation, clinking glasses and a shared love for great steak, the decision was clear. This needed to become a ritual. A monthly moment where sound, story and space meet.

To open the year, the stage belongs to Matt Ngesa. A Nairobi-based singer-songwriter whose music lives between indie pop, rock and soul. Honest, warm and quietly powerful. His songs carry deeply personal stories that somehow feel familiar, like hearing your own thoughts sung back to you. With new music on the way and a season of collaborations ahead, this marks a bold chapter in his journey, and a special one to witness live.

Salt & Smoke is intimate by design. Low lights, close seating, the smell of fire and the kind of room where every lyric lands exactly where it should. Seats are limited and the experience is meant to be shared closely.

Salty's New Year 2026 brings a full scale celebration on the 31st of December 2025 from 16.00 till late.

The lineup loads the night with power sets from Clarkie, Taio, Jero, Melody Kane from the UK and Xan Woods.

Expect high energy transitions, funky grooves, some disco and the signature Saltys beach atmosphere as we count down to midnight on the sand. Sunset cocktails roll into night time lights with food stations, chilled seating zones and a dance floor that stays alive long after the countdown. Advance entry is 1500 KES and 2000 KES at the gate.
